The environment needs your vote!

Who will you vote for?

A VOTE FOR THE ENVIRONMENT IS A VOTE FOR THE FUTURE !

We want to reach as many people as possible to let them know why voting for the environment is so important. Here are some simple ways you can help.

Donations and practical support

Campaigns always need financial assistance and practical support. If you can donate money or have time and skills that may assist the campaign contact Katie Grinsted at vote@environmentvote.org.nz or by phoning 04 801 2763.

Wallet card

We will be launching a wallet card rating the political parties on key conservation and environment issues in late August 2005. It will be available electronically and in hard copy. If you can help distribute the wallet card to your networks, let us know by emailing: vote@environmentvote.org.nz

Banner Competition

Do you have spare paint in the shed? Are you wondering what to do with those old sheets? Does your fence need a facelift?
Show your support for the environment by making a banner. We are running a competition to find the best Vote for the Environment banner. The rules are simple:

  • It must be non-partisan (ie not mention any political party or politician)
  • It must have our website address prominently featured
  • It must be publicly visible
  • It must come down before election day (17 September 2005)
Send a photo of your banner to:

Forest and Bird
PO Box 631
Wellington

Or email a low resolution image to vote@environmentvote.org.nz
We will display a selection on the website and will make a draw each week for a prize pack. We are also looking for sites for banners.

Download and print a poster advertising the competition (word 128kb)

Prizes

Just by entering you will go into a weekly prize draw for Greenpeace and Forest and Bird T-shirts and more!
After the election the overall prizes will be judged.
